On Monday 23 October 2023, FRDO-CFDD is organising a major conference on sustainable mining. Critical materials play a crucial role in the transition to a sustainable energy system. But the high demand for these precious materials poses major challenges, including environmental and social ones. This conference will delve deeper into these pressing issues, with renowned international specialists speaking at the conference. We are very pleased that Janez Potočnik is one of our speakers that day. He is a former European Commissioner and currently co-chair of the International Resource Panel. During his lecture, he will look at the issue of critical resources from a systemic perspective.
