What will be discussed :

I. Towards a global action on plastic pollution?

  • What does plastic pollution tell us on sustainability
  • Towards a new Treaty?

II. Sustainability of products in Europe today

  • Ecodesign: sustainability as the new standard
  • The right to repair
  • Packaging and chemicals – The interdiction of PFAS

III. Product standards in Belgium

  • The Law on product regulation: new developments – How do you control access to the market
  • Recent export bans
  • Interfederal governance of products in Belgium: case study on pesticides
  • Dialogue and role of advisory bodies

This event is also organised in honour of Prof. Luc Lavrysen, who was a scientific member of the FRDO-CFDD for many years, chairing the working group on product standards.

This event will be held in English (without simultaneous translation).
