In July 2023, Belgium will present a Voluntary National Review (VNR) for the second time at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). In such a VNR, a country explains to the United Nations how it is implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Belgium already did so a first time in 2017, so now there will be a second VNR.
Our country’s governments have agreed to make the preparation of the VNR a broadly participatory process. And in this, the FRDO-CFDD plays an important role. The FRDO-CFDD collected contributions from a whole range of civil society organisations. These will serve as input for the draft VNR. Below is the list of these contributions, along with synthesis texts made from them.
In early 2023, the FRDO-CFDD, together with other advisory councils, will make an opinion on the draft version of the VNR.
